We are a public school situated in the west part of Sicily, Salemi - the place where our school is located is a small town about 7000 people, which is known to be an important agricultural centre. In our school there are different courses. Vocational course, technical course for Tourism and for Computer, general courses. There are about 900 students aged 14-19 and 120 teachers.
At present, the world economic crisis and the difficulty to sell our products led our economy to a decline in every field. As a consequence, our pupils comes from unsettled families as well as from families whose one or both parents work in the North of Italy. Our school also organizes evening courses for adults. Our school’s vision is that of a European school and have been trying to organize our activities following this idea. It has been very active concerning the international opening: we participated in projects Erasmus+ and Léonardo and participated in cultural exchanges with Germany, Portugal, Poland, Slovenia, Holland, Belgium and more.
